Footage shows paedophile John Carvin fleeing his home
A paedophile has packed his bags and fled from his new council home – following days of protests by locals.
On Monday evening sex beast John Carvin emerged from his home in Templemore – which was given to him by the council – with bags on his shoulders and carrying a briefcase, as crowds of onlookers gathered and protestors taunted him.
Carvin, who sexually abused his brother’s step-daughter when she was just seven, was moved into the home earlier last week – but following days of relentless local protest, he’s now gone.
Angered locals who spent the past three days protesting outside Carvin’s home, and there were shouts of “paedo” at him as he got into the car while gardai watched on.
The shock development comes after an emergency meeting was held between local county councillors and the housing division of Tipperary County Council.
Meanwhile, Carvin’s victim Stephanie Phoenix took to social media on Monday in which she said she sympathised with the protesting crowds and asked to be left alone.
“I’m receiving messages about John Carvin being in an unwanted town and although I sympathise with that neighbourhood I would appreciate it if no one would contact me through messenger or Facebook as I have dealt with this for many years and tried getting on with my life,” she said.
Last Friday, the Irish Mirror called to Carvin’s home – but the pervert refused to come to his door, instead cowering inside the kitchen.

A woman who identified herself as being Carvin’s wife then answered the door and said he was “scared” and told of her own terror at the local’s protest.
“He’s scared. He has a heart problem and I don’t want him dying on me. They’re after frightening the sh**e out of me,” she said.
Going inside to ask her husband if he’d speak to us she then returned and said: “No. He just wants to be left alone.”
Carvin was tried and convicted in 2014 on two counts of sexual abuse between October 2000 and February 2001 but was only convicted of one.
He was convicted of sexually assaulting the then seven-year-old when he got into her bed late at night and assaulted her.
Stephanie waived her anonymity at the time so that Carvin could be named.
Speaking previously about the impact Carvin’s attack on her had, she said: “I can’t be near men. If there are too many in the room I have to go back out. I’ve had nightmares about the case too. My childhood was destroyed for a start. I’ve never had a boyfriend. I can’t go near them.”
In her victim impact statement, Stephanie cited one instance where she refused to go up to a male cashier even though it would mean a far shorter queue, and instead she waited for the female staff member to serve her.
Sergeant Liam Donoghue told the court that the man was sleeping in the room beside the girl on the night of the abuse. During the night he climbed into her bed and began kissing and rubbing her.
He left, but returned shortly afterwards and made her masturbate him before telling her “to get on top.” She refused and the man fell asleep.
He was later discovered in the bed by another family member who told him to get out.
