A popular Dublin city home furniture store is closing down after three decades in businesses due to “exorbitant costs”.

Decor, located on Wexford Street, announced the sad news last Friday. The store is currently running a closing down sale for anyone hoping to pick up some items before they close for good.

They wrote on Facebook: “With a heavy heart we must report that Decor will be closing its doors after 30 magnificent years, due to exorbitant costs.”

The furniture store is not the only Dublin business to close in recent times due to rising costs. Mizzoni’s of Rathgar announced earlier this month they had “no choice” but to shut down due to the cost of living crisis.
