Man who tried to sell stolen IPad to off-duty garda arrested in Dublin city centre

A man who tried to sell a stolen IPad to an off-duty garda was arrested in Dublin city centre earlier this week.

The incident happened on Tuesday night and, after the man’s major blunder, he was taken to Kevin Street garda station. Officers are now working to reunite the IPad with its rightful owner.

A garda spokesman said on the Garda Siochana Dublin Facebook page: “Little did this person know he was speaking to an off-duty Garda last night when trying to sell them this stolen iPad.

“He’s been arrested and Gardai in Kevin St are making contact with the owner of the device – which was identified from the logo on its wallpaper.”
