A man’s body has been found in the River Liffey this morning.
Gardai and emergency services rushed to the scene after the reported discovery of a body at 8am this morning in the river near the East Link Toll Bridge.
The man has since been removed to the Dublin City Morgue.
A post-mortem will take place which will determine the course of the garda investigation.
A garda spokeswoman said: “Gardai in Store Street are investigating all the circumstances following the discovery of a body of a man in the River Liffey on the west side of the East Link Bridge this morning Saturday 2nd September, 2023 at approximately 8am.
“The body of a male has since been removed from the scene and taken to Dublin City Morgue where a post mortem will take place at a later date, the results of which will determine the course of the investigation
