I spent prison time with sick Irish murderer and I know chilling truth he’ll kill again, he’ll always be danger to women

A FORMER prisoner has told of his belief that depraved killer Gordon Molloy will kill again.

The ex-inmate — who spent time on G2 landing with Molloy in the Midlands Prison — made the claim after his victim’s family met with the Parole Board last month.

The prisoner contacted The Irish Sun after we revealed Molloy, 37, was seeking parole just 15 years after he was jailed for life for the brutal murder of Ciara ­Campbell, 22.

Molloy — who’s now being held in the A wing of the prison — received the life ­sentence after he was found guilty of stabbing Ciara 27 times, including once in the forehead as only son Jamie looked on.

In an exclusive interview with The Irish Sun, the former prisoner told how Molloy has never shown any remorse for the ­barbaric murder.

He said: “If that animal ever gets out, he will 100 per cent kill again.

“He’s very odd and kept mostly to ­himself, but other inmates all said the same thing that it wouldn’t bother him to kill again.

“He has always maintained that he would be freed at some stage and was furious when his day release was cancelled after objections from the family.

“There has been no change in his behaviour in prison and he is one very dark and strange individual.”

And Ciara’s heartbroken dad Micheal told how he was “not surprised” to hear the former inmate’s views on Molloy.

The murder victim’s dad added: “We have always said that this monster would kill again and our position will never change. We are in no way shocked to hear that someone who has been in prison with him thinks the same.

“The level of violence he used against our precious daughter was depraved and he’ll always be a danger to women and to wider society.

“We don’t want another innocent family to suffer the pain we have suffered if this animal walks free.

“We’re now just waiting to hear what ruling the Parole Board meets and we are praying he remains behind bars.”

The lag also revealed how Molloy had also befriended evil killer Graham Dwyer, rapist Simon McGinley and Tinder rapist Patrick Nevin during his time in prison.

He told The Irish Sun: “He was a bit of a loner with other prisoners, but he would be more friendly with the other inmates who also used extreme levels of violence against women.

“He was a man of few words and the only time he would engage with inmates who were in for lesser offences was when he wanted something.

“A lot of the inmates also stayed away from him because they also have wives, sisters and daughters.”

The meeting with the Parole Board also comes after Ciara’s family warned interim Justice Minister Simon Harris the monster would kill again.

DAY RELEASE

During his time in prison, Molloy received day release in 2018 and enjoyed days out with his family.

But former Justice Minister Charlie Flanagan reversed the decision to let him out after he was bombarded with dozens of emails from Ciara’s family.

If Molloy does receive any release over the coming months, the Irish Prison Service have to inform his victim’s family.

Ciara’s mum Paidi is also convinced Molloy will kill again if he walks free.

She added: “How can someone who stalked a mother and slaughtered her in front of her child be released back into the community after serving 14 years?

“There is no way that someone who committed this appalling crime in 2007 is suddenly a changed man.

“Not only did he murder our beautiful daughter, he took Jamie’s mother from him.

“Jamie is an amazing young man who has suffered and witnessed more than any human being ever should.

“We are so proud of him — but we have no doubt Molloy’s release would have a detrimental impact on him.”
