Cars, cash and more than €15k in designer goods seized by CAB

Two cars, almost €3,000 in cash and over €15,000 worth of designer goods were today seized by the Criminal Assets Bureau in locations across Dublin.

The searches targeted an organised crime group involved with drug trafficking and firearms crime.

Several designer handbags with an estimated value of €6,850 and a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust watch and box valued at €9,050 were seized.

Some €2,555 in cash as well as a VW Passat R Line and a VW Golf R Line were also found by gardaí in addition to a number of files and documentation.

The Criminal Assets Bureau conducted the search operation in the Dublin Metropolitan Region this morning.

It was conducted by personnel from the Criminal Assets Bureau, with the support of the Emergency Response Unit, and DMR North District Detective and Drug Unit personnel.

The Customs Dog Unit also provided assistance.

It marks a “significant development in this ongoing investigation,” a garda spokesperson said.
