Police officer charged with drink driving, common assault and behaviour offences after alleged incident in Antrim hotel

A POLICE officer has been charged to court following an incident that allegedly occurred in a hotel in Northern Ireland.
Cops were called to the scene at a hotel in Ballymena, Co Antrim on Thursday.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland is currently investigating the incident which involved one of their police officers, aged in his 30s.
He is facing multiple charges and is expected to appear in court on the 19th of October.
The off-duty officer has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, four counts of common assault and disorderly behaviour.
The investigation is still ongoing.
