Dublin taxi driver arrested as gardai seize drugs worth €9,000

A Dublin taxi driver has been arrested and €9,000 worth of drugs and drug paraphernalia have been seized following a routine inspection.
The drug seizure happened last night when gardai from the DMR south region pulled over a taxi as part of a routine checkpoint. The taxi driver failed a roadside test for drug consumption and was promptly arrested.
When the guards searched the taxi, they also found approximately €9,000 worth of drugs and drug paraphernalia inside. A spokesperson for An Garda Siochana confirmed to Dublin Live the driver will be taken to court soon.
