Well-to-do residents of an exclusive Belfast postcode are “horrified” after sleazy sex pervert Liam McMahon permanently returned to the area.

In July, the millionaire shop owner escaped going to prison despite being caught breaking into an employee’s house and carrying out a despicable sex act in her bedroom.

The disgraced businessman was caught by hidden cameras masturbating in the bed of his employee while she was working in his shop.

And the distraught victims of his sick acts discovered he’d done similar things numerous times over several months.

He was caught red-handed last December after one of his employees was concerned someone was breaking into her property and moving things around.

But the woman and her husband were horrified when their motion-sensor camera caught McMahon letting himself into their home.

He was filmed inside the couple’s bed completely naked, wearing the woman’s underwear on his head while masturbating.

After he walked free we went to his luxury £2m mansion, which he had built a few years ago. We wanted to speak to him about the incident.

Ironically, his home was behind an electric gate with intercoms and cameras.

When he appeared in court, he had an address in Lisburn and it has since emerged he was living away from his posh family home.

Sources say McMahon has recently moved back in “for good”.

And his neighbours aren’t all too pleased to have him back.

“We are horrified he’s back,” said one disgruntled neighbour. “Look what he did. How could you be happy to have someone who did what he did living back among you?

“It’s hard to think of anything more disturbing that someone could do in your house while you were out. He must be a complete sicko, yet here he is back for good it seems.

“This is one of the most expensive areas to live anywhere in Northern Ireland. When you pay the kind of money for houses around here, you don’t expect to have to live close to someone who does things like that.”

Another resident said they were concerned McMahon got off so lightly he could do it again.

“He didn’t serve a single day in jail, so what kind of deterrent is that?” they said.

“You see him all the time now driving about in his flash Audi as if he hasn’t got a care in the world.

“He should have been sent to prison, even for a short while, for what he did to that woman.

“Let’s just say people are being extra careful to lock their doors now he’s back.”

McMahon was sentenced in Belfast Magistrates’ Court two months ago after pleading guilty to a charge of criminal damage and threatening and aggressive behaviour under the Stalking Act, following the incident on December 8, 2022.

He was snapped by our photographer outside court despite him and his supporters using a number of umbrellas to hide his face from the cameras. Despite his Lisburn address being given in court papers, we found out where he actually lived.

We didn’t reveal where it is other than to say it’s situated in south Belfast in one of the most exclusive areas of the city.

McMahon’s victims were dismayed when he managed to escape going to prison after a judge handed him a probation order and 90 hours of community service.

The District judge said that McMahon had “only been thinking about himself” and his actions were “purely for sexual gratification”. She also questioned why he was not facing sexual offence charges.

McMahon was given a five-year restraining order to make no deliberate contact or attempts at contact with the victim, who had worked for him for 14 years.

In a victim impact statement heard at Laganside Magistrates’ Court, the woman said she was now “living a life sentence” due to the impact McMahon’s action had on her.

Following the comments made by the judge, the Public Prosecution Service was forced to release a statement explaining why he hadn’t been charged with sex offences.

The Sunday World revealed how, after being caught literally with his pants down, McMahon moved fast to secure his assets and protect his family.

Seven days after he was caught carrying out his disgraceful act, he resigned as the sole director of his lucrative company.

And on the same day, his wife was appointed as sole director of the business.

The court was told on Monday how, on the morning of December 8, McMahon admitted to rifling the pockets of his employee and taking the keys to her property after her husband had left to go to work.

Her husband received a notification on his phone alerting him to someone being in their property, with his father-in-law then seeing McMahon leaving the property a short time later.

Speaking in the wake of the court case, the couple talked about the huge impact that “predator” McMahon’s actions had on them and how the woman no longer feels comfortable leaving her home alone.
