Shots were fired at a property on Limerick’s Hyde Road last night, gardaí have confirmed.

The shooting has led to a series of road closures this morning as officers conduct their investigation.

Motorists have been urged to be aware of traffic delays as gardaí sealed off parts of the area amid an ongoing probe.

“Gardaí are investigating the discharge of a firearm at a property on the Hyde Road in Limerick during the early hours of this morning,” a garda spokesperson said.

“No injuries have been reported.”

It has been reported locally that a section of Hyde Road has been closed off between Childers Road and Lenihan Avenue to facilitate investigations.
