Popular Dublin coffee shop closed after thieves break in and ‘wreck everything’

A popular Dublin coffee shop has taken to social media to share the distressing images of its badly damaged premises after it was attacked overnight.
The Hyper Goat Coffee café shared images on Instagram of its outlet on Thomas Street with its front window smashed.
They have also written: “Some bad news this morning our shop on Thomas st has been broken into smashed and wrecked everything and took all cash and the till.
“Unfortunately we will be closed until further notice apologies to all our customers.
“We will get back open asap. Thanks the Hypergoat team”
They added that their Blanchardstown location “is open as normal.”
People have taken to the comments section to express their sympathies.
One wrote: “That is actually heartbreaking. I really hope you get back on your feet soon , sending positive vibes your way.”
Another added: “Sorry to hear. Can’t seem to have anything good without someone trying to ruin it. Hopefully you find your feet again soon and get back up and running.”
“Gut wrenching,” said another. “let us know if we can help in anyway. We’ll be in for a coffee and a bowl when yous open back up.”
Gardai said they were investigating “an incident of burglary at a business premises on Thomas Street, Dublin 8, which occurred in the early hours of this morning, Thursday, October 19”.
“A sum of money was taken during the course of the incident,” gardai said. “ =There are no arrests at this time. Investigations are ongoing.
