Romanian man in country for 10 days charged with stealing €5k of Panadol from Lidl
Marian Manea has been in the country for the last 10 to 14 days, said Solicitor Aidan Leahy.

A Romanian man charged with stealing thousands of euro worth of pain relief tablets from Lidl stores in Cork and Tipperary, appeared before Cashel District Court on Friday.
Marian Manea, of no fixed abode, appeared before Judge Miriam Walsh in Cashel District Court, on October 20.
Sergeant Carol O’Leary told Judge Walsh that no application for bail has been made on Mr Manea’s behalf, and further charges may be proffered.
Mr Manea has been in the country for the last 10 to 14 days, said Solicitor Aidan Leahy.
An application was made for a certified Romanian Translator.
The value of the products was put at €2,075.
Garda Judith Davern also charged Mr Manea with stealing 135 Panadol Extra Panadol Actifasts, and 121 Rennies, from Lidl, Bank Place, Tipperary, on October 19.
The value was put at €2,838.72.
Mr Manea is charged with having without lawful authority or excuse, in his possession stolen property, namely 135 Panadol Extras, 75 Panadol Actifasts, and 121 Rennies, at Lidl, Cahir Road, Cashel, Co. Tipperary, on October 19, “knowing that the property was stolen.”
Mr Manea was remanded in custody to appear before Clonmel District Court on Tuesday, October 24.
