Protest calls for justice for Brazilian man involved in collision with Garda car

A protest has taken place in Dublin after a Brazilian man was injured following a collision with an Irish police car. The incident happened on Saturday afternoon after gardai responded to a report that a motorbike had been stolen from a delivery driver in Sandyford. Later a Garda car was in collision with a man close to the M50 in Tallaght. The Garda Ombudsman is investigating what happened. A Brazilian national who has been living in Ireland for several years, is understood to have been seriously injured. He has been named locally as Joao Henrique.
