Gardai appeal for witnesses after alleged sexual assault of woman on Dublin Luas

Gardai have confirmed that they are investigating the alleged sexual assault of a woman on the Luas in Dublin.

The alleged incident took place on the red line on a tram between Jervis Street and Heuston Station on Sunday.

Gardai are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.

A Garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí in Kilmainham are investigating an alleged assault of a female that is reported to have occurred LUAS services on the evening of Sunday, 29th October 2023.

“Gardaí are appealing to any members of the public who may have witnessed an alleged assault on board the LUAS between Jervis Street and Heuston Station at approximately 7:10pm on Sunday, 29th October 2023 to come forward.”

Gardai added that anyone with any information in relation to this matter that can assist Gardaí with their investigation are asked to contact Kilmainham Garda station on 01-6669700, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
