Woman allegedly sexually assaulted on Luas as gardai appeal for witnesses

Cops are investigating the alleged incident over the weekend

A WOMAN was sexually assaulted on the Luas over the weekend.

The alleged attack occurred on a red line tram between Jervis Street and Heuston Station, Dublin, at around 7:10pm on Sunday.

An investigation is being carried out by gardai in Kilmainham station, Dublin.

A spokesperson said: “Gardai in Kilmainham are investigating an alleged assault of a female that is reported to have occurred Luas services on the evening of Sunday, 29th October 2023.

Gardai are appealing to any members of the public who may have witnessed an alleged assault on board the Luas between Jervis Street and Heuston Station at approximately 7:10pm on Sunday, 29th October 2023 to come forward.”
