Gardaí probe two burglaries in Co Roscommon after men in balaclavas break into house
Men, reportedly wearing baseball caps and balaclavas, entered the home by forcing a rear door but were disturbed a short time later when the owner returned

Gardaí are investigating two burglary incidents in Co Roscommon which took place within days of each other.
In the first incident, on October 24, a burglary took place between 7pm and 7.30pm when the home owner left his home at Knockglass, Ballinameen at approximately 6.50pm.
Men, reportedly wearing baseball caps and balaclavas, entered the home by forcing a rear door but were disturbed a short time later when the owner returned.
Gardaí believe this incident may be linked to another break-in at Ballyglass, Clontuskert on October 27 when three burglars entered a home in the area between 8.30pm and 9.15pm while the homeowners were away.
Investigating gardaí believe the suspects arrived in a Volkswagen Golf and forced entry to the property through a rear bedroom window.
“Gardaí are investigating an incident of burglary which occurred in Ballinameen, Boyle, Co. Roscommon on, Tuesday October 24,” gardai said.
“ Gardaí are investigating an incident of burglary which occurred in Cloontuskert, Co Roscommon on Friday, October 27.
“Investigations are ongoing.”
