Former Fine Gael politician charged in €2.6m money-laundering case

A former Fine Gael councillor and hotelier has been charged with money laundering of more than €2.6m.

Frank Kilbride (69) appeared before Longford District Court last Tuesday following a long-running investigation by gardaí based in Cavan.
