I understand what the children of gaza must be going through, because as a child, I went through the same thing three times when there was war in my country Lebanon, in 1993, 1996, 2006, and even now. The sound of gunfire, shells, and airstrikes, the fear, the pain, the loss. These things have stayed with me throughout my life. I experienced war as a child. The children of Gaza want and need the same thing that as a child I wanted and needed: peace and security. And that’s what the United Nations was established to achieve. Inspired by

Yes, Egypt is a country that was finally allowed to have a democratic election in 2012 after decades of US-supported dictators. Sadly, they elected someone the US and Israel disliked, so he got promptly replaced by a new US-supported dictator with the help of John Kerry.
