Gardaí investigating after staff member ‘threatened at knife point’ at supermarket in Dublin

Investigations are ongoing following an incident at a Dublin supermarket last night, which saw a staff member threatened with a knife.

Gardaí in Cabra were alerted to the incident shortly after 9pm on Friday following reports of an altercation in a shop in Dublin 15.

A garda spokesperson said it’s understood a staff member “was threatened at knife point by the customer who then left the premises empty handed”.

No one was physically harmed in the course of the incident and no arrests have been made at this time.

An investigation into the matter is ongoing.
