A MAN has been severely injured after an alleged machete attack in Dublin’s city centre.
Horror videos on social media showed the violent assault as a group of hooded men took to Talbot Street, Dublin 1, yesterday evening.

In the footage, the group punched the pedestrian and attacked a second man as he rushed to the first victim’s aid.
They chased the second man down the street while a person in a grey tracksuit launched at the first man, 30s, with a large machete.
Online videos showed the assailant jabbing and slashing at the man’s stomach and legs.
The man stayed upright during the attack and walked away from the scene, leaving behind pools blood.
The group then ran away in the opposite direction.
The 30-year-old has been rushed to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
An investigation into the assault is underway and a technical examination of the scene was conducted by gardai.
A Garda spokesperson said: “Gardai are investigating an assault that occurred on Talbot Street, Dublin 1 yesterday evening, Sunday 26th November 2023.
“Gardai in Store Street received report of an assaulted male at approximately 9:25pm and attended the scene.
“A man in his 30s was conveyed to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
“A technical examination of the scene was conducted by Gardaí.
“Investigations are ongoing.”
The alleged attack comes just days after three children and a woman were injured during a stabbing incident on Parnell St.
A five-year-old girl is continuing to cling to life at Temple Street Hospital after suffering a critical wound in the horror incident.
The two other children, a five-year-old boy and a six-year-old girl, suffered less serious injuries.
The female care assistant in her 30s remains in a serious condition while gardai are patrolling the hospital where the man described as a person of interest in their investigation is still being treated.
Following the incident, violent riots broke out in the capital.
Cops and fire crews sent in to tackle blazes were attacked by groups of scumbags, while others roared at the thugs to leave the emergency services to their work.
One fire truck attempting to fight a blaze had its front windscreen smashed in while protesters flung crowd control barriers at gardai.
Footage showed an officer being beaten by multiple people.
Looters smashed into shops including iconic department store Arnott’s and a Foot Locker on O’Connell Street which was targeted as a bus burned just feet away.
Gardai also received information that far-right extremists were attempting to source weapons to target foreign nationals during a night of mayhem in the capital.
