Officer admits contacting vulnerable woman on social media but denies harassment

A policeman whose trial for sexually assaulting a vulnerable young woman collapsed has admitted sending Facebook messages to her during the court case.

The initial charges against Gary Best (55) were dropped by the Public Prosecution Service (PPS) earlier this year after it withdrew and offered no evidence on the day of the contest.
