Donegal man who raped woman he met online is jailed for five years

A man who raped a woman he’d been chatting with online before arranging to meet for coffee has been imprisoned for five years.

Daniel Maymay (31), of Thornbury, Kilmacrennan Road, Letterkenny, Co Donegal, appeared before Mr Justice Paul Burns in the Central Criminal Court in Dublin on Monday after being found guilty of one count of rape on January 28, 2019.
