A man in his 40s has suffered serious head injuries after a Christmas Eve gun attack in a restaurant in Blanchardstown, Dublin.
It is understood that a high velocity weapon was used in the shooting which led to terrified customers, including children and women fleeing the premises.
It is believed the victim was shot three times in the head and was brought to hospital in a critical condition.
There are also reports that a second, younger man was injured in the incident but the nature of his injuries are unclear and are understood to be serious.
One line being investigated is that the shooting is linked to the bitter Corduff feud that has seen numerous violent incidents.
Two suspects in the case fled the scene in a white Audi car.
No arrests have been made.
