Gerry Hutch ‘The Monk’ is enjoying his first Christmas in eight years with family and friends without being forced to look over his shoulder for a hit team or the gardaí.

The enigmatic gang boss has maintained a low profile since he walked free from the Special Criminal Court in April after he was acquitted of the murder of drug-trafficker David Byrne in the Regency Hotel attack in 2016.
