Man (50s) arrested on money laundering offences as over €80k cash seized in Dublin

Gardaí have arrested a man on money laundering offences after finding more than €80,000 at a property in Co Dublin.

The Dublin Crime Response Team (DCRT) carried out a search of a residence in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15 earlier this morning, Wednesday 3 January, with assistance from the Detective Units in Blanchardstown and Finglas Garda Stations.

More than €80,000 in cash was seized alongside small sums of Albanian Lek and British pounds.

A man in his 50s was arrested for money laundering offences and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda station in Dublin.

Investigations are ongoing.
