Severely overcrowded Cloverhill Prison is unique in the Irish penal system in that the vast majority of its inmates have no idea how long they will be there.
“It could be weeks, it could be months, it could be years,” said chief officer Adrian Sweeney during a tour of the west Dublin facility.
