Calls to burn down immigrant centres, and even the homes of those supplying them, are being regularly touted on social media as concern grows over the number of fires that have engulfed buildings being prepared for asylum seekers and the homeless.

Others are naming and posting photographs and videos of buildings all around the country they say are to be used for housing people coming into Ireland from abroad.
