The arson attack on the former Shipwright pub in Dublin brought public attention to a building with a peculiar back story. The gutted bar and B&B is the latest property addition to a string of connected companies that have amassed a portfolio of multi-million euro government accommodation contracts.

What these firms have in common is the involvement of a barber from Leixlip and/or the use of multi-million euro loans to finance their purchases.
