Two men seriously injured in suspected stabbing in Dublin City Centre

Two men have been hospitalised after a suspected stabbing incident on Hardwicke Street in Dublin City Centre yesterday evening.
Gardaí are investigating the incident which occurred just before 8pm on the city centre street which is believed to be linked to a drugs row.
Two men were later taken to the Mater Hospital to be treated for apparent stab wounds.
The two victims in the case are Dublin natives from the nearby Frederick Street area.
One of the men was stabbed in the head while another was stabbed in the leg.
The victims are aged 37 and 34.

There has been no arrests yet in the case which is being investigated by Mountjoy gardaí and sources say that officers have had no co-operation from the victims.
“Despite significant blood loss being inflicted, the injuries that these two individuals suffered were not that serious,” a source said.
“All the indications are is that this a drugs row related to either the buying or selling of drugs in the north inner city,” the source added.
The injuries are understood to be serious but not life-threatening.
No arrests have been made at this time and investigations are ongoing, a garda spokesperson said.
