‘Our shining light forever, loved and never forgotten’ – Ashling Murphy’s school principal pays tribute on 2nd anniversary of her death

On the eve of the second anniversary of the murder of teacher and musician Ashling Murphy, the principal of the school where she taught has said she has left a strong legacy behind her in the short 23 years she lived.

James Hogan has said that although Ashling was only in her first year in teaching she had an amazing bond and relationship with her young pupils in Scoil Naomh Colmcille in Durrow, Co Offaly.
