Arrested conspiracy theorist shares his menacing videos directed at TDs

A conspiracy theorist previously arrested after saying he would be justified in killing the Taoiseach and Tánaiste over the Covid vaccine has issued more threats to TDs saying: “You’re likely to suffer grievous injury which surgery cannot fix”.

Volatile far-right figure Dara O’Flaherty, who has turned up outside politicians’ homes on numerous occasions, was arrested in October over series threats against public figures including the Taoiseach and Tánaiste. He was later released without charge while a file was prepared for the DPP.

Despite facing potential charges over those threats, O’Flaherty believes that because he was not charged immediately, he can continue to make threats without facing any criminal sanction.

“I’ve already been questioned and arrested on such grounds and I walked free and there are no charges pending,” he said.

“I’ve already established that I can say these things, that I can do these things.”

This week he posted a series of videos aimed at Galway TDs Catherine Connolly, Éamon Ó Cuív, Hildegarde Naughton and Noel Grealish and Senator Sean Kyne, demanding they answer his questions around Covid.

He said: “We are not advanced enough in surgery in order to fix the damage I will do to your face if you approach me and try and interfere with my natural rights, which in this case is the defence of my family, my nation and my people from an act so horrendous that it justifies homicide.”

O’Flaherty said if they don’t answer his questions, “you’re going to need the police, you’re going to need the ambulance and you’re probably going to need the fire brigade.

In another video he warned them “it’s six stitches” for them if they don’t answer his questions.

“I’m coming to Galway in the next couple of days man and you’re not opening that office until you have an answer for me. Do you hear me Éamon, do you hear me Catherine, do you hear me Noel, do you hear me Sean, do you hear me Hildegarde? Do not f***ing open your f***ing office.

“Do you see my face, do you? Six stitches, Dara. Well if it’s six stitches for Dara, it’s six stitches for Catherine, it’s six stitches for Sean, it’s six stitches for Noel, it’s six stitches for Éamon and it’s six stitches for Hildegarde.”

In another video he adds that he is going to hound the politicians at their homes.

O’Flaherty is a failed election candidate who was eliminated on the first count in the last general election when he stood in Galway west.

He has previously turned up outside the homes of politicians including the Taoiseach as well as other public figures.
