Watching the rise and fall of Thomas Bomber Kavanagh on RTE; it was really Scary but now Kavanagh is serving 21 years in an English Jail. Kavanagh thought he was untouchable and is a brother-in-law of Byrne who is also now awaiting trial in an English prison. Kavanagh ruled with fear and terror. Even his own footsoldiers when they broke his order were beaten into pulp with fists, hammers, batons, and whatever Kavanagh could get his hands on. He left for England around 2003, after convictions here for assaults and other criminal activities but now the curtain has fallen on Kavanagh and his Crew. Detective Chief Supt Boland said Kavanagh’s arrest was a major coup for the English and Irish police and he went on to say that since Kavanagh’s arrest the murders on the streets of Dublin have almost ceased. It just shows us that Kavanagh was the No 2 in the Kinahan Cartel but now one of his former close associated Peadar Keating who is in Portlaoise jail has come out and called Kavanagh a “Rat”. This is some statement from within the Cartel. In the meantime, the Hunt is on for the Kinahans with the bounty on their heads of US$ 5 million each. In all of this Gerry the Monk is a free man and living the life in Lanzarote. To be continued…..
