Man hit trainee garda after officers tried to stop him eating chocolate

A young man punched a trainee garda in the face when officers tried to stop him ­eating a chocolate bar on the advice of paramedics.

Gardaí were waiting for an ambulance for Amarbayasgalant Batjargal (19), after finding him flailing on the ground, when he became “incredibly hostile” at being told he could not eat anything, a court heard.
