Specialist detectives have made their latest move against the international Black Axe gang. Officers arrested a suspect they believe played a key role in laundering money connected to the ­criminal enterprise’s operations in Ireland.

The suspect, who was arrested in west Dublin earlier this week, has since been released from custody at Blanchardstown garda station. He became a “person of major interest” following a garda raid at a property in Tallaght last year.
