Man jailed for ‘shameful’ robberies in which he attacked people while begging in Dublin

A man involved in “shameful” robberies where he attacked people he approached while begging, took items from an unconscious man on the street and held up a launderette with a knife has been jailed for seven years.
Andrew Cash (32), of no fixed abode, appeared before Judge Pauline Codd in Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on Wednesday after pleading guilty to counts of theft, robbery, attempted robbery and assault causing harm at locations across Dublin between May and November of 2020.
