Man (20) found with a blade told gardaí he was carrying it for his ‘protection’

A young man caught carrying a blade on a city street told gardaí it was for his own protection as he was “fighting with” someone.

Cian Andrews (20) was jailed for a week when he appeared in Dublin District Court.
