Two horse-drawn carriage operators arrested for intoxicated driving in Dublin
Revenue Officers joined gardaí for inspections in the capital

Two horse-drawn carriage operators were arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving in Dublin on Wednesday.
Animal welfare and veterinary inspectors from Dublin City Council joined Revenue Officers and gardaí from Kevin Street and DMR Roads Policing to carry out inspections of horse-drawn carriages in the capital.
Among the detections from the day of inspections were two carriage operators who were arrested for intoxicated driving. A number of other cases were created for follow-up by Revenue.
A spokesperson for gardaí told the Irish Mirror: “Gardaí from Kevin St & DMR Roads Policing carried out inspections of horse-drawn carriages today in Dublin city, assisted by Dublin City Council Animal Welfare and Veterinary Inspectors, and Revenue officers.
“Among the detections made by Gardaí were two carriage operators who were arrested for intoxicated driving.”
