JEFFREY Donaldson has sensationally quit as DUP leader after he was charged with rape and a number of other historical sexual offences.
And the veteran Northern Ireland MP, 61, who strenuously denies the allegations, was suspended from the party pending the outcome of a criminal investigation.

Within minutes of the DUP confirming that move, Donaldson’s profile was removed from the party’s website.
It was then replaced by an image of 39-year-old East Belfast MP Gavin Robinson, who was declared “Our Leader.”
Today’s developments came after the PSNI confirmed that a 61-year-old man had been charged with multiple “non-recent sexual offences”.
Cops said a 57-year-old woman has also been charged with aiding and abetting in connection with the alleged offences.
