Meav McLoughlin-Doyle, the ex-wife of now-jailed abuser and former garda Mark Doyle, has revealed how it took hearing Clodagh Hawe’s mother speaking about her daughter’s killer husband for her to realise her life was in danger.

Former garda Mark Doyle (38), who subjected his ex-wife and stepsons to “horror after horror” over a 12-year period from September 2007 and August 2019, was jailed for six years last Friday.
