Young man (20s) in critical condition and another injured in Clondalkin assault

A young man is in a critical condition in hospital and another has been hospitalised after they were assaulted in Clondalkin, Dublin 22 last night.
Both men who are believed to be in their late 20s, were attacked at approximately 10.15pm outside a residential premises in the Grange View Way area.
One of the men was taken to Tallaght Hospital were his condition is described as critical.
The other man is also receiving medical treatment for injuries believed to be non-life threatening.
The scene has been sealed off for technical examination.
No arrests have been made.
Gardaí said they are investigating what they have described as “a serious assault” and appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
“Gardaí are particularly looking to speak with anyone who was in the Tower Road area of Clondalkin between 9.30pm to 10.15pm and anyone who was traveling on the number 13 bus between Clondalkin and Bawnogue between 9.45pm and 10.15pm,” gardai said.
They are also appealing to anyone who was in the Grange View Way area of Clondalkin between 10pm and 10.30pm to come forward.
“Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to gardaí,” they added.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Clondalkin Garda Station on 01 666 7600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.”
