Woman arrested as gardaí seize €15,000 worth of drugs and over €8,000 cash in Dublin

A woman has been arrested and charged after gardaí seized €15,000 worth of drugs and over €8,000 in cash on Sunday.

The search operation took place in South Dublin at the weekend with officers from the Dublin Crime Response Team involved.

In images released today, large numbers of €50 and €20 notes were seen displayed alongside small parcels of drugs, individually wrapped.

A garda spokesperson said: “The search was conducted as part of ongoing investigations into the sale and supply of drugs in the South Dublin area.

“Suspected cocaine valued at €10,000 and suspected Diamorphine valued at €5,000 was seized as well as €8,900 in cash.”All of the drugs seized are subject to analysis by Forensic Science Ireland (FSI).

The woman arrested has since been charged to appear before court.

Investigations into the discovery and arrest are continuing.
