Man (20s) arrested as gardai seize cash, car, jewellery and designer goods in Dublin raid

A man was arrested after cash, a car, jewellery and designer shoes and clothing were seized during a Garda raid in Dublin 13 yesterday afternoon.
The man, in his 20s was arrested at the scene of a house search in the Balmayne area and brought to a Dublin Garda station.
Gardai said that officers raided the house shortly after 2.30pm as a result of ongoing investigations into the sale and supply of drugs in the J District, which includes Raheny, Clontarf and Howth.
“Gardaí arrested one man and a number of items including cash, car and jewellery were seized,” the Garda Press office stated.

A total of €14,110 in cash was seized in addition to a Volkswagen Golf R Line valued at over €40,000, €2,000 of designer shoes and clothing, and a gold bracelet valued at €4,500.
A mobile phone, weighing scales and other items of evidential value were also seized.
“A man in his 20s was arrested at the scene and detained at a Garda station in the Dublin region under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984,” gardai added.
“He has since been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
“Investigations are ongoing.”
