A PROLIFIC criminal is due in court tomorrow morning accused of forcing an elderly woman from her car and hijacking it.
The man, 32, was halted by armed cops on Saturday night after a chase and was arrested.

The incident happened after 9pm on the night. Gardai were alerted to an attempted hijacking of a car in the Grange Castle Road area of Clondalkin, southwest Dublin.
When the suspect failed with that one, he walked in front of another car being driven by a woman in her 70s, who came to a halt. He forced her out of the car and took off in her vehicle.
The Armed Support Unit, along with officers from Clondalkin, chased the car before they intercepted the stolen motor on the Katharine Tynan Road in Tallaght.
The man was arrested and brought to Clondalkin Garda Station where he was quizzed.
The accused is well known to gardai and has over 60 convictions, including for burglary.
Gardai this evening confirmed the man arrested is to appear before the District Court at 10.30am tomorrow morning.
A spokesman said: “Gardai appeal to anyone who was in the Grange Castle Road area of Clondalkin at 9pm on Saturday, April 13, 2024, and who may have witnessed these incidents to come forward.
“Additionally, they are appealing for those with camera footage, including dash-cam footage, from the location at the time to contact any Garda Station. Investigations are ongoing.”
