TV licence inspector says abuse on doorsteps since RTÉ controversy broke is worse than ever

An Post was forced to stop TV licence inspections and offer ‘resilience’ training to staff due to a public backlash over the RTÉ payments

A Kerry-based TV licence inspector said abuse levelled at inspectors is the “worst” it has been in his more than two decades on the job, since the RTÉ scandal emerged.

Bill O’Sullivan said the job is much more difficult now with the public attitude being “very resistant”.
