Arrest made after young man discovered dead in Kildare house overnight

Gardaí are investigating after a man in his thirties was discovered dead at a property in Co Kildare.
Gardaí and emergency services were called shortly after 3.15am about an incident at a house in Sallins Park, Sallins.
A man was discovered at the scene with fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
A man known to him, aged in his 20s, has been arrested as part of the investigation.
While gardaí have said that they are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the death, it’s believed the victim died violently.
He is currently being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a garda station in County Kildare.
The local Coroner and office of the State Pathologist have been informed, and preparations are underway for a post-mortem examination.
A senior investigating officer (SIO) has been appointed to lead the inquiry, and an incident room has been established at Naas garda station.
Additionally, a Garda Family Liaison Officer (FLO) has been assigned to keep the deceased’s family informed of developments.
Gardaí said the investigation is ongoing, and further updates will follow.
