Woman (40s) ‘lucky to be alive’ after horrific knife attack outside her Dublin apartment

A woman who was stabbed multiple times in a frenzied knife attack outside her home was so badly injured that gardaí initially feared they would be launching a murder investigation, it has emerged.

The woman’s condition has significantly improved since the attack on Friday night at her home in the Waterville estate in Blanchardstown, west Dublin. Her condition has been described as stable in hospital.
