A third tanning salon in Carlow Town has gone up in flames after a car crashed into the building in the early hours of this morning.
Gardaí are investigating an incident of criminal damage by fire that occurred at approximately 2.30am this morning, Wednesday May 15.
The tanning salon, which is located in a premises on Barrack Street near the Fairgreen Shopping Centre in Carlow Town, went up in flames after a car hit the building.

The Irish Independent understands that the driver reversed into the ground-floor of the building and then fled the scene.
The tanning salon had only recently opened its doors in April.
This is the third fire at various tanning salons in Carlow Town, with the last incident only occurring last month when a car crashed into a different tanning salon on Tullow Street in Carlow Town.
Similarly to this incident, the Tullow Street tanning salon fire occurred in the early hours of the morning at around 2.30am on Monday April 8, when a car was driven backwards into the building and the premises went on fire.
Prior to that incident, in May of 2022, another tanning salon was destroyed by a fire on Tullow Street after a car was also driven into the building in the early hours of the morning.
Gardaí have not confirmed if all three incidents are linked.
