Three people have been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into the 2010 murder of Lee Slattery (24).
Mr Slattery was shot dead and his body was found buried in a shallow grave in a wooded area in the Delmege House estate near Moyross in Co Limerick on May 31, 2010.
The father-of-one from Ballynanty on the northside of the city had not been seen for the previous four days after he visited a friend’s house in the city on the night of May 27, 2010.
Gardaí at Mayorstone in Limerick have arrested three individuals in relation to the murder investigation.
A woman in her 30s was arrested on Sunday evening in the Limerick area and detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007.
While two males, aged in their 30s and 40s, were arrested during an operation in the Limerick area this morning. They are detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007, and Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939.
All three are detained at a garda station in the Limerick Division.
To date, 21 arrests have been made in connection with this investigation.
