Murder investigation launched after man fatally stabbed in Kerry village

A murder investigation has been launched by Gardaí in North Kerry after a man was stabbed and died.

The Kerryman understands the incident occurred outside a pub in the village of Knockanure.

The man was stabbed several times during the incident in the quiet rural area on Sunday night/early hours of this morning.

One man has also been arrested and a major investigation is underway by gardaí into the serious incident which has come as a shock to the small village located near Listowel and Moyvane.
