DUBLIN Bus is urging passengers to be on the look out and to stay vigilant as pickpocketers target commuters.
Dublin Bus has reportedly ordered its drivers to warn passengers of a group of organised pickpockets going after commuters.

The Irish Mirror has reported that there have been a number of petty theft on buses across the capital, with a number of women believed to be behind the operation.
It is now understood that drivers of Dublin Buses will be making announcements on board to warn passengers to remain alert when travelling.
A spokesman for Dublin Bus told the publication: “At Dublin Bus, the safety and security of all our employees and customers remains our top priority.
“We work closely with An Garda Síochána on an ongoing basis to maintain a safe environment for everyone using our services.”This comes after a pensioner was left “totally shook up” after he was targeted by a group of pickpockets targeting passengers on Dublin Bus.
The elderly man was carrying an envelope containing €80,000 worth of diamond rings when he was hit by the female thieves earlier this month.
The group, who are believed to typically board at Dorset Street, have caused frustration amongst bus drivers after a recent string of thefts.
The OAP’s son told The Irish Mirror: “He’s totally shook up by this and never saw it coming.”The man boarded a crowded number 16 bus on D’Olier Street holding two envelopes – one of which had the high valued diamonds inside.
His son told how a woman “fell on top of him” and managed to swipe the enveloped from the pensioner.
The incident has been the subject of a Garda investigation and it is understood that they are examining CCTV footage of the bus at the time of the incident.
A Garda spokesperson said: “Gardai have received report of an alleged incident of theft in Dublin City on the 9th of May 2024. Enquiries are ongoing.”The full statement read: “At Dublin Bus, the safety and security of our employees and customers is our top priority.
